The main detail that stands out about the book Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, is that these characters have ridiculously difficult lives. In front of my eyes is a mighty, powerful, awe-inspiring spectacle to behold. A rainstorm is brewing. It is like I am watching the mighty hand of God at work in the sky. I was up all night thinking about my wife. It was early in the morning, it was foggy and very cold. There was no one around.

I was looking around taking in the time where I am not going to get killed or hurt really badly. Once everyone was up it was all going well, the sun was shinning I could feel that it was going to be a very nice day.

I then looked out over the sea and then I saw it the two big rock pilled up about three to four metres high, with a narrow channel, the rocks towering over each side of the channel. I watched the rocks go past my head as we entered into the dark waters with the rocks just standing there watching my every move. My whole crew looked very scared and didn't know what to do as I was looking at their faces I felt the boat start to move from side to side.

That's when I saw the hand of scylla then she started to appear slowly. Her head was appearing it was the first time I saw her, she had 6 heads and scylla's hair was made out of snakes there was also a ring of dogs around her waist she was one of the most scariest, ugliest looking thing that I have seen in my life and the different journeys that I have been on. Scylla hated us being there you could see it in her eyes they were looking to kill just the sight of blood would set her off to stop anything in her way.

She killed faithful men Poly and 5 of other men as I got so angry and upset with her and told my men to get the cross bows as fast as they could. When the came back with the crossbows we all started firing as fast as our human hands could. But she just seemed to stand there and not do a thing. One of my men jumped out on to her leg and then climbed up and started cutting off the snakes that made up scyllas hair. The snakes were peeking at us and the boat which then led to all sorts of mischief so there for there were suddenly lots of holes appearing.

As I quickly turned the boat we were heading straight in to the whirlpool. It must off been at least the 7th time to day as it was getting dark and hard to see where we were going. It seemed as if the whirlpool was broken. As I was thinking that I herd a interesting noise, a sucking noise. Then as I turned around I could see the whirlpool going as fast and I and my men could feel the boat being sucked in to it.

All of my men were very scared an didn't know what to do as I told them "Quickly get the ores and row as hard as you can!" as I said that we were about to hit the whirlpool when it disappeared in to the water again. After we were right on top of it it started moving up to a faster speed then were were sucked down in to the whirlpool I could see my men's faces as we went down then another strang thing happened we were spit back out in to the open ocean I couldn't believe our luck.

I watched as we were drifting away from scylla and the whirlpool. Then as the sun went down we had our dinner which was only a piece of bread and a glass of wine. The I heard a noise from in the back of the ship as I went to look one off my men yelled to me "Captain, how are we going to fight like this every day when we are living on scraps?" "Well I am not sure and I don't think that I can do it much longer ether but that is what we have to do to get back our land.

We were all very tired as I remembered that sound I herd in the back so I went back and had a look to my disgrace there was Poly tied up to a chair. I took off the piece of cloth off from around his mouth. Then the rope from around his arms and legs. Poly started yelling about haw he can't believe that the other crew members did that so I asked him "Do you now who would do such a thing?" Eosinophil

Eosinophils are one of the five different types of white blood cells belonging to the subgroup called Polymorphonuclear Leukocytes. Eosinophils are produced in the bone marrow and then migrate to tissue, and they are characterized by large red cytoplasm granules. These cells have the purpose of giving large parasites such as helminths, a hard time. They attach via Cb receptors, the Cb having been produced during the course of alternative pathway complement activation by the helminth. The eosinophils release various substances from their granules. These include major basic protein plus cationic proteins, peroxidase, arylsulphatase B, phospholipase D and histaminase. The granule contents are capable of damaging the parasite membrane. Eosinophil function is incompletely understood. They are prominent at sites of allergic reactions and with parasitic larvae infections ( helminths ). Eosinophil secretory products inactivate many of the chemical mediators of inflammation and destroy cancer cells. This phenomenon is most obvious with mast cell-derived mediators. Mast cells produce a chemo tactic factor for eosinophils. When a foreign substance enters the body, lymphocytes and neutrophils release certain substances to attract eosinophils which release toxic substances to kill the invader.

Neutrophils

Neutrophils respond to chemo tactic signals and leave capillaries by a complex process, involving margination, rolling and then attaching, following which they emigrate between the endothelial cells (extravasation, or diapedesis). Several mediators are involved. They include substances produced by micro-organisms, and by the cells participating in the inflammatory process. One such is a substance called interleukin-1 (IL-1), which is released by macrophages as a result of infection or tissue injury. Another is histamine, released by circulating basophils, tissue mast cells, and blood platelets. It causes capillary and venular dilatation. Ca and C5a produced during complement activation are chemo tactic for phagocytic cells. Another group of substances produced are the acute phase proteins. As a result of tissue damage, the liver produces a substance called C-reactive protein. This activates the complement system by the classical pathway, and as a result Ca is formed and coats the organism, facilitating its phagocytes.
